SPEED is equipped with a 200mm achromatic doublet in one of the filter wheels prior to the science camera to allow an H-band near-infrared pupil imaging mode for fine alignment of the PIAACMC coronagraph and to diagnose coronagraphic performance. This pupil imaging channel completes the remote pupil analysis and AIT channel already present in the near-infrared channel but only sensitive to wavelengths in the visible range.
